A list of five top car manufacturers was released by Consumer Report earlier this week. They carried out a survey based on certain criteria and took feedback from one million car owners around the world in order to come up with the list of best car manufacturers of 2014

They carried out a survey based on certain criteria and took feedback from one million car owners around the world in order to come up with the list of best car manufacturers of 2014. There were some hiccups in the report as brands like Mitsubishi, Porsche and Land Rover etc. was not considered because of lack of data on their part.However, here is a list of the top five car manufacturers in descending order as put out by the survey which was Japanese dominated.
	Lexus The study ranked ‘Lexus’ as the best on no.1 position. Its comfort, looks and performance gained it full marks throughout thus helping it achieve the highest position in the list.
	Acura Acura ranked no.2 in the list as it was successful in coming up with stunning models and had been highly regarded for its performance. People found it sports like and stylish on the streets.
	Audi The German manufacturer of cars managed to secure the third position as a reliable brand and a fuel economic car maker. It gained popularity due to the surprising interior Audi cars possess. Apart from this, the exterior was also different from regular cars which made it a perfect choice.
	Subaru It secured the fifth position with Toyota as both scored similarly. However, it was given fourth place even though it is not a wide scale seller. They are known for their outclass designs and performance.
	Toyota The Japanese Giant was ranked with fifth being the largest seller of vehicles and also because it produced some stunningly designed cars. It is relatively cheaper in comparison to other mainstream car makers.
